Redwood Burl - Handcrafted Ballpoint Pen

Beautiful Redwood Burl on gold plated  for a beautiful handcrafted postable rollerball. Burls are growths with irregular grain patterns that form after a tree is damaged or stressed in some way. Though they are usually found in the roots of a tree, they can occur anywhere. Live burls refer to large or small growths coming off the side of a tree, while crown burls are found at the very base of the tree.  These burls make for very exotic grain patterns and make beautiful pieces.  The wood in this pen is harvested from redwood burls found on trees in Oregon and California.  

The pen is a medium sized rollerball with titanium gold plating  for beauty and durability.  The refill is changeable and the cap is postable.  Please. refer to the pictures to see  the pen in use in both the posted or unposted position.
